In the last few years, the way people live and work has changed.
- 58% of UK workers prefer a hybrid working model;
- The proportion of people hybrid working rose to 24% in 2022; and
- 78% of people who work from home said it’d given them an improved work life balance
In 2023, working models changed again.
There has been a marked increase in the number of people returning to their place of work, particularly in Central London.
This change is unsurprising too, with 81% of workers saying they’d feel more isolated without time in the office and 30% admitting they found it difficult separating their home lives from their work lives.
However, one of the big barriers of a return to work has been the hit to employees’ wallets. Last year, the BBC reported on “the sky-high cost of returning to the office”.
Employees are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They see the value of a return to the workplace but remain under pressure to help employees make the transition and live healthier, happier lives.
That’s one of the main reasons why Live Like Loyalty has teamed up with Bike2Work Scheme – a government-approved and completely FREE employee benefit.
